How long does the competition run for?
Entry of foal photo or video (Stage 1) of the ‘Barastoc Baby Pics – Australia’s Favourite Foal Competition’ commences at 12:01am AEST on 1st August 2024 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on 30th November at 11:59pm. (See Stage 2 further down this page for the Voting commencement dates)

When does my Foal entry need to be submitted?
By 30th November at 11:59pm

How do I enter?
Fill in the entry form here and submit it along with a photo or video of your foal. Entrants must complete the entry form to be eligible. Full terms and conditions here.

Can I enter more than once?
Only one photo or video entry is permitted per person

How old must my foal be to qualify?
Foals must be born in the 2024 breeding season, and can be aged from 0-6 months.

How can I check that my entry has been received?
Once you have submitted your entry, you will receive an email confirmation. Please check your spam or junk mail if you haven’t received confirmation.

Can I submit a photo/video of my foal that also features my family or myself?
Yes, you can! But to make it simpler for our judges, we suggest entering an image with just your foal.

How old do I need to be to enter this competition?
You will need to be 18 years or older to enter your foal photo or video

STAGE 2 – Voting stage

When does the voting start?
Voting period commences 3rd December and ends 16th December 2024 at 11.59pm AEST

How do I vote?
Complete the entry form here. Vote for your favourite foal and tell us in 25 words or less why you would like to win Barastoc feed for your horse. The Judges will award the prize to the Voting Participant who is responsible for the most creative/emotive entry as deemed by them during the promotion period.

How many times can I enter?
You can enter to vote once only

Can I vote for my own foal?
Yes you can, however it’s just one vote per person

Can I vote for more than one foal?
You can vote for one foal only

How old do I need to be to enter the voting stage of the competition?
You will need to be 18 years or older to enter to vote for your favourite foal

When is the ‘Voting’ entry winner announced?
One public voting entry will be selected by the Barastoc Judges and the winner will be announced on 20 December 2024

How is the overall winner decided?
The overall Winner is based on the most votes received during the voting period.

How are the First and Second Runners-up decided?
The first runner up is based on the second most votes received during the voting period.
The second runner up is based on the third most votes received during the voting period.

Will you be storing our photos? I’m concerned about privacy.
Images and videos that have been entered into the competition may be used to help promote Australia’s Favourite Foal 2024. If your foal is one of the winners, we may also use your image in our winners announcements. On occasion, we (Barastoc) may find an image so amazing that we may ask you if we can use it for promotional purposes, however we will make sure we seek your permission first. Your contact information, including your full name and address, will not be shared or displayed for the public to see. All foal image entries and the overall winner and runner up photos and videos will be published on https://www.favouritefoals.com.au/

Will you use my foal’s photo or video after the competition ends?
Winner and runners-up will be published on https://www.favouritefoals.com.au/ including first name and state.
